Adult Peer Support Groups
Adult Peer Support Groups can be a great way to find out more about dyslexia from other people who have dyslexia. Many groups also have speakers who talk on a range of issues affecting people with dyslexia. Peer Support groups are open to people with dyslexia, but also to friends and family of dyslexic people.
Currently KWDA does not have the resources to run its own adult peer group, but here are the nearest peer support groups to us:
Bromley: Meetings held at 7.30pm, on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Community House, South Street, Bromley, BR1 1RH.
Phone: 079 105 977 39 (Michael E Corrigan)
London: Meetings held between 6.30-9pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
Phone: Helen Bigham on 07702 601897 (Monday – Wednesday, school term time)
Email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please do contact us if you know of any other adult dyslexia groups that should listed on this page.
The KWDA runs a helpline for people with dyslexia in west Kent, if you wish to speak to our volunteers, please call: 0345 601 2553.
This Helpline is manned by volunteers and therefore will not be constantly monitored. If there is no reply please call again.
